swiss-academies award for
transdisciplinary research
The swiss-academies award for transdisciplinary research (td-award) is given biannually in recognition of outstanding transdisciplinary work according to the criteria developed and published by the td-net.
Projects carried out by individuals or research teams are eligible. The decision of the Jury is based on the quality of the current project (not the follow-up project). The winner or the winning team received 75,000 Swiss Francs. Awarded by Mercator Foundation Switzerland, this was the highest research prize of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences.
The last td-award was given in 2010. See "Winning projects" for details.
Thanks to the Mercator Foundation Switzerland, we can offer the td-award two more times. The application and selection procedure will be announced with the Call in the first quarter of 2012. Further information is forthcoming on this page.
Meanwhile, we invite potential applicants to take part in the next national inter- and transdisciplinarity conference, which will take place on 22 June 2012 at the IUKB in Sion. Languages: German and French (and English). More info about this conference » here.
